Following the success of two collections of poetry published by Gwasg Carreg Gwalch with the former Bardd Plant Cymru, Anni Llŷn – Geiriau Bach Chwareus and Hwrê mae hi'n Wyliau! – a new collection has been edited by the current Bardd Plant, Casia Wiliam, called Clywch ni'n Rhuo Nawr!. The book also contains poems by thirteen other poets who have held the post, including two by me – one about a new dinosaur called Tyranodiplostegatopsgorichthioraptor, and another about the fact that even the most hideous, disgusting and altogether awful monsters sometimes, just sometimes, need a big cwtsh.
Following the success of Geiriau Bach Chwareus, Gwasg Carreg Gwalch have published a new collection of poetry about the holidays. Helmed by the current Bardd Plant Cymru (Welsh Children's Laureate), Anni Llŷn, Hwrê mae hi'n Wyliau also contains poems by thirteen other poets who have held the post, including two by me – one about a new and brilliant festival called Gŵyl Eurig, and another about the adventures of Gwenlli on Enlli, Elin in Felinheli and Iona in Llanddona …
Mae'r Nadolig ar y gorwel ond, os wyt ti'n debyg i fi, bydd yr holl siopa'n digwydd funud ola'. Dyma felly rai awgrymiadau am anrhegion llenyddol – yn boeth o'r wasg – a allai wneud y dasg flynyddol o lenwi hosanau'n ychydig haws.
If you're in need of some festive stocking-fillers, then look no further! Poet Ceri Wyn Jones, presenter of BBC Radio Cymru's flagship poetry programme, Talwrn y Beirdd, has gathered together the crème de la crème of the last five seasons into Pigion y Talwrn, including poems by the greatest poetry team this side of the Nile – Y Glêr! The latest edition of Barddas is out too, with articles, reviews and lots of poems, including my awdl that came second in this year's Chair competition at the National Eisteddfod in Abergavenny. It was inspired by a recent visit to Mumbai, where I was whisked around the city by a good friend of mine, one of India's foremost English-language poets, Sampurna Chattarji. Also out are two adaptations for children by me from Atebol (check out their new website).
