Following the success of Geiriau Bach Chwareus, Gwasg Carreg Gwalch have published a new collection of poetry about the holidays. Helmed by the current Bardd Plant Cymru (Welsh Children's Laureate), Anni Llŷn, Hwrê mae hi'n Wyliau also contains poems by thirteen other poets who have held the post, including two by me – one about a new and brilliant festival called Gŵyl Eurig, and another about the adventures of Gwenlli on Enlli, Elin in Felinheli and Iona in Llanddona …

On 23 March the very first issue of the e-magazine Y Stamp was launched in the Cŵps in Aberystwyth, with performances by Bethany Celyn, Rhys Trimble, Gareth Evans Jones, Alun Jones Williams and two of the editors, Grug Muse and Iestyn Tyne. The Clera podcast for March – available on both SoundCloud and iTunes – includes a discussion on how best to experience poetry (recorded at the Gŵyl Farddoniaeth in Tŷ Newydd), a mischievous poem by Mihangel Morgan, items on Y Stamp and a slam held at Caerffili castle, as well as one brand new item – a poetic brainteaser set by the encyclopaedia on two legs better known as Gruffudd Antur.
Following the success of a talwrn held in Medina by Siop y Pethe back in November, another bardic contest was held to celebrate St David's Day on 1 March, for which I wrote this poem calling on the people of Aberystwyth to add one more to the already burgeoning list of festivals held across Wales every year – and why shouldn't we be celebrating one local boy done good who happens to be one of Wales's greatest poets?!
