It's Freshers' Week here in Aberystwyth, and although there are fewer parking spaces, the town's alive again with a new buzz! To welcome the new students, I've posted on the website a poem I wrote for the UMCA graduation ceremony back in 2010 about the brilliant opportunities that Aber offers anyone who wishes to speak Welsh all day and night.
By way of congratulating Professor Gruffydd Aled Williams – my former tutor at the Department of Welsh and Celtic Studies at Aberystwyth University – on winning the Book of the Year Welsh-language Creative Non-fiction Prize with Dyddiau Olaf Owain Glyndŵr, I've added to the website a poem I presented to him on his retirement in 2008.
